Feverish...again

Another day and an another fever.

Last week, Luis awoke with a fever at 4:00 a.m. and I brought him to hospital to get looked at. The doctor checked him over and his blood counts were good so we were sent home later that morning. After a little Tylenol and a little time, the fever passed and we carried on with our week.

Today, we had somewhat of a repeat performance. Luis started to develop a fever around lunch time and I brought him in to get checked. This time, he also had a cough and the doctor sent him for an X-ray. The doctor believes that he has bronchitis and Luis was prescribed some antibiotics and tamiflu for further protection from the flu. Fortunately, we were able to leave the hospital because his blood counts were ok. In fact, they were a little high because his body is fighting the infection. This is a good thing. Luis' poor little tummy felt yucky all day. He barely ate a thing. After a couple arrowroot cookies, he took all his medicine. An hour or so later, the little guy had a round of vomiting. The pharmacist later told me that I should space out the medicine so it isn't too upsetting to his tummy and to take the tamiflu with a meal. Wish I heard that sooner :(  That's the drawback of using the Shoppers drive through pharmacy. You don't get to talk with the pharmacist at that moment and you have to call them.

The boys are now sound asleep and here's hoping for a quiet night!
