Happy Birthday

Luis celebrated his 5th birthday at the end of April. (I'm a little behind on the times here; forgive my tardiness). We threw an impromptu surprise party for Luis. When I got home with the kids, Luis was a cranky bum but his mood flipped when he saw the balloons, streamers, presents close family and friends. He was very happy when he saw his birthday cake that his best friend's mom made:

The boys' exclusive picnic

Aside from all these fun times, Luis had a rough weekend. He developed a fever on Friday and was in the hospital until Monday. His immunity is extremely low, with his neutrophils almost completely bottomed out. We had a camping trip planned for the weekend which had to be cancelled. Back to the bubble until his blood counts come back up. The only precaution that the doctors can take to help his immunity is to hold the daily chemo that is suppressing his immune system.

Just hope for the best.
