Luis will, however, be going back tomorrow to get his blood counts checked. This way, we'll know if his weekly chemo medication that I give at home should be increased from 50% of the original dose to 75%. His neutrophil level has to be over 1.0 for his chemo to be increased. On Sunday night, his neutrophils were 3.5. It's possible that they could have dropped to1.0 since then, but I doubt it. Time will tell.
All of this fever business came after a beautiful day at the river front. We were able to sneak a fun, little trip in right before the clouds piled up and came down. We also stopped for an ice cream treat. While holding my hand, Luis stumbled, his ice cream cone went up in the air and came down on head. It was just like a cartoon. Don't ask me how he did it. I did everything I could not to laugh while he was crying, but it was hilarious. They were kind enough to give him a fresh new ice cream and a clean cloth for his sticky hair!!
