Tog Guns

Way to go Windsor Regional Hospital Paediatric Services for putting together an amazing event, Top Guns....Kids With Cancer Take Flight! Wow! Thanks to WRH paediatric nurses, child life specialists, Ron the Magician, volunteers, and so many sponsors for bringing happiness to Luis, our family and all the other local cancer families. 

The event was held at the Canadian Historical Aircraft Association by the Windsor Airport. Luis was our family's "Captain".  We ran into lots of friends from the hospital and other cancer families we've met over the last year. We got to see lots of different kinds of aircrafts, enjoy a magic show, do some crafts, and indulge in free hotdogs, (and veggie burgers), chips and ice cream (what can I say, it was special occasion). 

 

As the Captain, Luis got to enjoy a FREE airplane ride of Windsor in a four-seater plane. The two of us enjoyed the view over Windsor. What an opportunity. Thanks to our pilot for donating your free time and personal plane :) 

(Did you know that the roof on Canadian Tire in east Windsor is covered in solar panels?)

 

Today was AWESOME!! Thanks again to everyone involved in making Top Guns a reality!
