It has been nearly four months since Luis' chemo ended.

Halloween came....

The leaves fell....

Santa's helpers were busy...

And the real Santa stopped by but just for a moment..

....but with him came gifts that brought great smiles....

Christmas was a nice time to get together with family and friends. We also celebrated Julien's third birthday! What a big boy.

As far as the cancer goes, everything has been going well. Only good news every time we go for check ups. Like all families with young kids though, there were many sick days over the last few months. Everyone had a cough or a fever here and there. Luis was hospitalized for a couple days at one point with a pneumonia. More recently, he was on antibiotics for strep throat. Even right at Christmas time, he had a fever. It's really just that time of the year. Even Julien had his share of fevers. In fact, one week one child would be sick, and the next week it was the other. And it's only January!

All things considered, our family has been happy and relatively healthy. Looking forward to a happy new year.

  1. Thank you. It's so good to hear things are "normal". I think of you all so often.
