Ho! Ho! Ho!

We are still at the hospital and Luis is having a hard time shaking the fever. As the Tylenol wears off, the fever creeps up every time, leading to another dose of Tylenol. The protocol is that he can't go home until 48 hours AFTER his fever breaks. That means we're stuck here for some time.

On the bright side, we had a special visitor today.

We were notified in advance that Santa was going to come. Stephanie, a volunteer from Hospice who visits Luis regularly at home, helped him prepare his letter to Santa (he signed the bottom but it's hard to see). When Santa came to the door (he wasn't allowed in the room), he brought a giant teddy bear and Luis asked the nurse to pass him his list.

An hour later, Santa returned with a gift for Luis from his magic sack.

I guess Santa didn't know that someone else already bought a telescope for Luis for Christmas. Now he will have two!

On the downside,  Mémé, who was watching Julien since we were in the hospital, is now violently ill. It appears a nasty virus has swept through the other Alvarez house and now into my house. I'm still dreading the possibility that I could get hit with it next. Here's hoping it skips me so I can take care of Luis.
