I noticed a significant amount of hair on Luis' pillow and shirt yesterday. Today, it started coming out in clumps. Right before bedtime, I was able to convince him to let me shave his head. I can't say if it looks better or worse. It's hard to look at either way. It will probably take me a day or two to get used to it. For anyone that has plans to see him soon, brace yourself for the change.
Yesterday, Luis also had an ugly day in the afternoon and evening. His legs were in extreme pain. He is not allowed to have Tylenol, Advil or any other pain relievers that could mask a fever. The nurse told me to give him morphine every 3 to 4 hours to ease the pain. It helped some, but not nearly enough. The whole episode lasted from about 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. When he awoke this morning, he was feeling fine. Thanks goodness. That was too much.
